A brake inspection is a comprehensive safety check of your vehicle's entire braking system. At Blazek, our ASE-certified technicians pull each wheel to measure brake pad thickness, examine rotors for scoring, warping, and wear, and check calipers for proper operation and signs of sticking or leaking. We also inspect brake lines and hoses for corrosion or damage, test brake fluid condition and level, and evaluate the parking brake.

When You Should Get Your Brakes Inspected

Brake pads are a wear item and they're relatively inexpensive to replace on schedule. Waiting until the pads are gone means the metal backing plate contacts the rotor directly, and what would have been a straightforward pad replacement becomes pads plus rotors, and sometimes calipers as well.
